Get ready for some musical good vibes in May, when Grammy-winning artiste Jason Mraz brings his Good Vibes Tour to Malaysia.
Mraz will be performing on May 13, 8.30pm at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
This will be Mraz’s third show in Malaysia. He first performed here in 2009, and came back again for his Tour Is A Four Letter Word tour in 2012.
In a press release, Mraz says that he especially enjoys playing in Asia, and feels a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm unlike anywhere else in the world. “It makes a performance feel more like an event than a recital. The audience participation in Asia is harmonic and supersonic. I am thrilled to return, reconnect and re-experience the joy,” he said.
Mraz first shot to fame in 2002 with his debut album Waiting For My Rocket To Come, and is best known for hits such as The Remedy, You And I Both, I’m Yours, I Won’t Give Up, and most recently Have It All, which is taken from his latest album KNOW, released last August.
In a recent interview with StarLifestyle, Mraz said that the new album is in alignment with everything else he has produced, and is full of good vibes and positivity, as usual.
“I use my music as a way to practise what I am thinking and doing in life. In the music that I make, I put into it the ingredients and the thoughts and wisdom and knowledge that I have acquired or heard in my life. The positivity (in my music) really does extend from my own seeking,” he said.

Malaysian fans, your prayer have been answered. Jason Mraz is returning to Malaysia next month!
If you recall, when the Grammy-winning artist announced his 2019 Asia tour last year, only 6 countries were included. And Malaysia wasn’t one of them. So this news definitely comes as a surprise.
The singer-songwriter’s “Good Vibes” tour will follow his 6th studio album “Know”, which was released in August 2018. “Good vibes is good vibrations; it’s being a constant source of good energy, and I didn’t want to just limit it to the album. By the time we come here next year, the album will be almost a year old and I really wanted to bring all the albums with me,” Mraz explained why he called his concert “Good Vibes”.
He added, “The whole point is to lose ourselves in song and to harmonise and connect as humans, because life can be very hard and challenging, but music is a way for us to connect to our true selves, as natural, spiritual beings. Music allows us to transcend all of that — that’s what good vibes is all about.”

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 — Jason Mraz will be bringing his “good vibes” to Malaysia this year on May 13.Mraz shot to fame in 2005 when his record-breaking single, “I’m Yours,” won multiple awards at the Grammy Awards.
This isn’t the first time Mraz has performed in Malaysia though, having visited before in 2009 and 2012 for his concert tours.
“I enjoy travelling to and performing for listeners in Asia. I feel a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm unlike anywhere else in the world.
“The audience participation in Asia is harmonic and supersonic. I am thrilled to return, reconnect and re-experience the joy,” said Mraz in a press release about returning to our part of the world
(Or maybe he just really misses our food).
The Good Vibes Tour follows the release of Mraz’s sixth studio album called ‘Know’, which was released on August 10, 2018.
The album became his fifth consecutive studio album to hit the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 charts.
Speaking about his album, Mraz said:
“It’s just got a bit more caffeine, whereas my last album was a bit more herbal tea.”
His tour began last year in the North of America but has now found his way to the South East region of Asia as he performs in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan.
Mraz’s concert here in Malaysia on May 13, starts at 8.30 pm and will be held at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, KL.
Tickets will be made available for purchase at 10am on March 2, with prices ranging from RM198 to RM698.

KUALA LUMPUR: Multiple Grammy Award-winner Jason Mraz will be back in town on May 13 for his Good Vibes Tour 2019.
The American singer-songwriter’s concert will be at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, and is presented by Great Eastern Life Malaysia.
He shot to fame in 2002 with his debut album Waiting For My Rocket To Come and has since amassed a diverse fan base around the globe.
His folk-pop songs bring positive messages to listeners, and his live performances are humorous and informal.
Mraz’s most popular singles I’m Yours and I Won’t Give Up won Grammy Awards. He also received the Songwriter Hall of Fame Hal David Award and had sold out shows in amphitheatres and arenas including The Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena.
Mraz first performed in Malaysia in 2009, and returned with Tour Is A Four Letter Word in 2012.

Know is produced by Andrew Wells, and has a groovy rock sound.
“I see it as a sonic evolution from my last album, Yes! It’s just got a bit more caffeine, whereas my last album was a bit more herbal tea.”
Know’s first single Have It All reached No. 1 on iTunes in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
